[ hello September ] . . .

Photo: Urban Light ~ Mishele Hopkins, 2016  indyandcleo.blogspot.com

hello September!

September is already here. Does it feel any different than August? Not really. Still hot, still sunny, just feels like a continuation of summer to me. But of course, isn't that what California is all about? I really do love it here ~ always so many things to see and do plus picture perfect weather!

I recently visited LACMA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art.  This month's photographs feature an outdoor exhibit titled Urban LightThis is an amazing creation to see in person. What is it? It is a large scale assemblage sculpture created by Chris Burden, (1946 - 2015), consisting of 202 restored cast iron street lamps from the 1920s and 30s. They once lit the streets of Southern California. They are painted a uniform gray, and placed, forest~like, in a near grid. The lamps are solar powered, and switch on at dusk.

Since its installation in 2008, the beloved public sculpture has provided a show~stopping backdrop for countless pictures, selfies and movies. If you haven't yet seen Urban Light, and ever have the opportunity, it really is a MUST see and of course ~ MUST photograph!

Do you ever . . . ?

Question for all you wonderfully creative types out there...

Do you ever absolutely love what you have created SO much that you feel like keeping it for yourself? Every time I created a sock monkey I want to keep it.

Just sayin'...

Meet Lulu.

She is brand new and just darling! She loves fashion design and coffee. Isn't she a doll? Read her complete bio on Etsy.

Lulu is currently available in my Etsy shop IndyAndCleo.etsy.com ~  but please don't monkey around, as she might not last long... or who knows, I may even just keep her for myself, LOL!
