Mitral Valve Disease

Many Cavalier lovers have had to deal with the agonizing reality of MVD (Mitral Valve Disease) which ends up taking the lives of their beloved fur babies way too soon. It is a devastating disease that affects the heart, and is quite common amongst the breed. Unfortunately, our beloved boy Indiana Jones was taken by MVD in 2011, just before his 9th birthday. (click the tab at the top of this page to read his original tribute story) He remains always and forever in our hearts.

Online Auction

The Friends of Sabrina Furchild on Facebook are hosting an online auction to honor Sabrina, another very loved Cavalier also taken too soon by MVD. This auction is to provide funds for the Friends of Sabrina Furchild (FOSF). FOSF is an auction to raise funding for the study of MVD at Ohio State University. Auction runs from February 2 - February 5, ending at 9pm Eastern time.
